AAI Council*
The Council is the governing body of AAI, responsible for fiduciary oversight, ensuring that there is no fiscal malfeasance, mitigating legal risk, and advancing the organization’s mission with accountability to the membership. The Council authorizes and advances the strategic framework of the organization and ensures the system of governance, including committees, is aligned in its focus and work to the mission and strategic priorities.
*During the initial governance transition year of July 2026-June 2027, the officers include President, Vice President, Past President, and Secretary-Treasurer. During the subsequent transition years of July 2027-June 2030, the officers will be President, Vice President, Past President, Secretary, and Treasurer. As of July 2030, the governance transition will be complete and the officers will be as stated above and in the bylaws: President, President-elect, Past President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
