Registration Details
As there are limited seats for Part 2, we are prioritizing these seats for registrants that are interested in both Part 1 and Part 2 so both Parts can be completed in tandem. Registration is currently open for Part 1, only. Registration for Part 2 is closed.
To ensure registrants can take full advantage of Part 2, a skill assessment will be required for participation in Part 2. The assessment will be available online and designed to demonstrate understanding of basic coding skills and bioinformatics concepts. You will receive feedback on your skill assessment and can re-submit multiple times ahead of the mid-September deadline. Details to follow!
Registration fees include access to the course, course materials, and access to course lectures on-demand for 12 weeks after the conclusion of the course.
The Part 2 waitlist is full! If you have already joined the Part 2 waitlist, AAI will contact you if a seat becomes available. If you were unable to register for the course but would like to receive relevant updates, please .

Yes! As there are limited seats for Part 2, we are prioritizing these seats for registrants that are interested in both Part 1 and Part 2 so both Parts can be completed in tandem. Registration is currently open for Part 1, only, and for Part 1 + Part 2. Registration for Part 2, only, will open in late July.
To ensure registrants can take full advantage of Part 2, a skill assessment will be required for participation in Part 2. You will receive feedback on your skill assessment and can re-submit multiple times ahead of the mid-September deadline.
We do not currently offer CME for AAI programs. All attendees will receive a certificate of completion for each part of the course.
If your plans have changed, you can cancel part/all of your registration. To make any changes, please email your request to education@aai.org. There is a $75 processing fee for cancellations.

For Part 2, the cancellation deadline is 11:59 PM ET on Friday, September 5, 2025.
Course Content and Materials
For Part 1, the course assumes that everyone is starting with minimal, if any, computing experience. Part 1 will also cover basic concepts for both coding in general and more specific examples (e.g., TCR/BCR bulk/single-cell analysis, image analysis, etc.).
Part 2 assumes that attendees will have a working knowledge of the basics. Part 1 will prepare attendees for Part 2, and all registrants will need to pass a skill assessment to participate in Part 2. You’ll have multiple attempts to complete the skill assessment and receive helpful feedback if you don’t quite get it the first time. We are assuming that everyone that tries the assessment will be successful! Part 2 will be more hands-on and have lab time dedicated to working with data sets in a group setting, with TA’s and instructors available for help if you get stuck.
Not quite yet! Information will be posted here as available.
Yes. Software and/or cloud access will be available ahead of the course so that attendees can ensure they have access on their laptops while they’re still at their home institutions (and have access to their institution’s IT department!).
For registrants, all lectures for Part 1 will be available on-demand. There will be live Q&A sessions where you can get any questions answered. The Q&A schedule will be posted on the website as it’s available. All of Part 2 will occur in person. Part 2 lectures will be available to course registrants following the course.
